BLOOD DIAMOND

This is one of d best war movies i have ever seen.Infact we can not say it,a war movie,basically its a fight of government & rebel forces.Director Edward Zwick has tried his best to show the plight of Africa's diamond mine workers in recent past years.
According to the director making this film was the toughest work he has ever done in his life.story of this film is based on a civil war of a country Sierra Leone (West Africa).the word blood diamond refers to those diamonds which were mined in Africa & used as a fund for rebel groups for fighting against government nd other groups.the main rebel group which is showed in the movie was Revolutionary United Front (RUF).This group contains a large no of militants including child soldiers.most of d children were 8 or 9 year old & were abducted or lure of fame/power/money or force recruiment.Many children are used as messenger,cook,porters & also used for sexual purpose during time of conflict.
The movie also revels the process that how a non authorised diamond stones were converted into authorised diamonds.The basic highlights of the movie were diamond mining,conflicts & child soldiering in Africa in the days of 1991-2000.
Due to this civil war between 1991-2000 approx 4 million people were died and millions are dislplaced from their places in Africa.In d end of year 2000 ceasefire declaired and in 2005 United Nation remove their peacekeeping forces.
finally a law is also introduced in the controversial field of Diamond mining named as Kimberly Process (a system of international certification requirements to verify that a diamond doesn't come from a conflict zone. )
